Nissan Vietnam Launches Education Support Program for Institutions Specializing in Automotive Courses

Hanoi, January 17th 2018, today Nissan Vietnam Company (NVL) organized the hand-over of vehicle transmission ceremony at the University of Transport and Technology Hanoi and officially launched the Educational Support Program.

These transmissions will be used as visual aids to help students gain insight into the workings of a modern day vehicle component and gain a better understanding about the technology through practice on the vehicle components.

The Educational Support Program will contribute towards helping the students studying automotive courses at the University to bridge the gap between learning and practical environment by providing opportunities to gain working experience. NVL will cooperate with the University to create favorable opportunity for students to participate in technical training courses conducted by Nissan trainers as well as to provide suitable internship program which could lead to employment within our Nissan network upon graduation.

At the transmission handover ceremony in University of Transport and Technology Hanoi, Dato’ Cheah Sam Kip, the Group Senior Adviser of Tan Chong Group said: “As the automotive industry grows rapidly in Vietnam, educational institutions will be playing a very important role in the development and training of suitably qualified engineers & skilled technicians. We are confident that these transmissions can be used to benefit the students in automotive training by accessing modern high technology machine”.

Besides its core business activities, Nissan Vietnam recognized the importance of social contribution in sustaining the company’s development in Vietnam. In addition to this Educational Support Program, Nissan Vietnam had carried out other charitable activities, such as participating with Habitat for Humanity to build housing for disadvantaged families in remote areas, blood donation campaign, support for disaster-affected areas and giving gifts to the orphanages in the country.
